2. History

For the second class of Introduction to Anthropology 2019 there were two readings:

  • M&G chapter 1 (part 2 of 2), “Introduction: Viewing the World” (14-27)
  • Horace Miner, “Body Ritual Among the Nacirema,” American Anthropologist (1956)

For this class we finished the textbook chapter we began in the first class. We also watched the first 25 minutes of Food for Thought (part of The Life of Mammals) in preparation for readings on primates.
